I miss the PS1 gaming days. It pretty much had everything that did not belong to Nintendo - Not like now where the PS3 and the 360 are technically very close.
Crash Bandicoot, Resident Evil, Gran Turismo, GTA, Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy, Silent Hill etc. (I realise RE was the 64 too).
The console had very large storage space as the format was CD not cartridge.
Also, single player actually mattered. I love Battlefield but with 99% of games I don't even try the online mode of it.
Aside from the PS1 having so many decent console titles, the PC was where the hardcore gaming was at. Better graphics, better loading times and cheaper games. I remember seeing Tomb Raider 2 on a P2 266mhz PC and thinking it looked much better than the PS1 version!
For me, I miss the type of game rather than certain titles in particular. For example I love the PS1 Final Fantasy games, but you couldn't release these type of games now. The same goes for the older Resident Evil games.
