Top Gear Series 18 *SPOILERS*

The Aventador's exhaust is unreal. Is it just due to the turbo etc that makes the flames/blue hue coming out?

It's unburnt fuel from the overrun. The fuel system wouldn't keep up with the gear changes, so inbetween the changes fuel is still being dumped into the engine but not being ignited, but it is soon as it hits the manifold.

And yeah it does look rather sexy.

My throttlebodied 309 would spit flames out of the trumpets when gunning it.

Did toast the filter a bit on occasions :D

I lol'ed a lot when James said 'Bonjourno' to the Italian official, very him.

Great episode, minus the 'star'. Not interested in him in the slightest and didn't think he came across very well.

Great episode! So much better than the Indian Special since the silliness was restrained. Thought Will.I.Am was a good guest too, fingers crossed there is more episodes like this in the series.

Not a bad eps. Car/Star chap was interesting too, was expecting a Puff Daddy like pleb but he was cool.

The episode was excellent minus the 'Star in a reasonably priced car.'

He seriously had the intelligence of a 2p piece and was just plain boring! He seemed like he couldn't even have learnt to drive a manual if they tried to teach him!

Anyone else notice that Hammond did the track in a full racing suit while the others wore just a helmet? I'm assuming it's because of the crash he had.

Have never in over a decade of working on a large variety of cars seen a clutch fail like the one on the noble had and even if it did it wouldn't cause the issues described unless something else wasn't shown.

Sounded more like a box or selector linkage failure while the damage to the clutch looked like a screwdriver had been used to rip a bit of material off.

At last a decent episode. Thought it was very good. When Hammond almost lost it on the track I was like 'oh **** not again'.

Out of the 4 (inc Ferrari) I'd have the Aventador. It's just mind bogglingly awesome.

I noticed that too, assumed it was something the Noble didn't have in terms of safety features. I know very little about supercar safety though, so I bow to greater minds on the subject.

The Noble doesn't have airbags or ABS so there was more chance of something going wrong if he did crash. Maybe that explained it as well?

I guess so, but I didn't think the safety features in the other cars would mean May/Clarkson wouldn't have to wear a suit if Hammond was. Meh.

Yeah. Not really sure how the bits of clutch managed to damage bearings either
