LoL or Heroes of Newearth

Hi,

I am currently Playing LoL and have seen Dota 2 gameplay. I am looking to expand my games for my new pc is it worth getting or sticking with LoL oh and does it cost anything?

Does any1 have any info about Dota Release Date cant seem to find anything.

If you are playing LoL and you're enjoying it, there is a high chance you will not like HoN or Dota 2.

Id say stick with LoL as HoN and Dota 2 don't really offer anything else apart from being harder to play.

HoN is free anyway, so try it your self to see.
 
I've read/heard that DOTA 2 is a lot about denying your enemies certain things instead of/including kills (denying minions etc).
 
I have played all three and to be honest i prefer LoL, Dota2 to me seems sooooo slow. I'll wait until it comes out properly and give it a try though.
 
I much prefer HoN, played a few games of LoL but didn't get on with it at all. Not played Dota 2 but have heard it's very slow paced.
 
HoN/Dota have more depth, but are harder to learn and more frustrating. If you give HoN a go it's unlikely you're going to like it unless you sink hours learning the different heroes and forgetting the bad habits you learned in LoL.

trash - a developer does not make or break the quality of a game.

I have played LoL and Dota2 - I love LoL in short bursts, really fun to play and some great strats. Im not a fan of Dota2 its just so slow and frankly pretty boring. I get frustrated at the best of times with LoL openers the last thing I want to do is play a whole match of the same pace.

This is true, seems people who played only lol before any other dota style game, find it very hard to adapt to the harder Hon & dota 2.

Played all three and Hon is the best by far, in regards to game play and hero design, community sub 1500 is not great but above you get loads of great games.

seeemed sLLLLLOOOOOOOOWWWWW to me aswell and theres nothing different than LOL really apart from its slower.

the tactics are the same etc i would say lol needs more skill as everything isnt in slow motion and you react on instinct and not working stuff out with the seconds you have

how does LoL require more skill when it's just a stripped down verison of dota to make it more accessible?
 
LoL is simple version of DoTA, Hon is pretty unbalanced version of Dota, DoTA 2 is DoTA but with a better engine :D
 
I think this thread sums up that their is no winner - it's each to their own

And those saying LOL is simple, bear in mind DOta's devs developed LOL after their experience of that - sure they made it open to the masses but deep enough to keep people entertained for years of play.

I like LOL but who am I to say which is better - try them all and decide
