Your top 5 visually most impressive games poll

For me

Skyrim
Bf3
Witcher 2
F1 2011 maxed out
Dirt 3 detail on the rain etc maxed out is really spot on

That's all I've really got anyway haha

Unless it was modded like a 1994 Corsa on a council estate (i.e. so much it is hard to tell what the original looked like!) then this game looked utter trash the day it was released.

Heavily modded and it looks stunning. Vanilla is unbearable after you have NMC's texture pack and Project Reality installed

Top5 from games that are on my harddrive;
Rise of Flight
Cliffs of Dover
FSX with REX 2.0, a nice aircraft and good scenery
BF3
Metro 2033 - I have Last Light pre-ordered as it looks awesome

I haven't played it modded. I liked the modding on Oblivion though.

When I played Fallout 3 i thought wow the graphics is poo. When Vegas came out in 2010 I enjoyed it but the graphics was dreadful!.

Well I have posted a few screenies in the new Vegas thread but tbh, they don't really do it full justice as it seems to be sunny in most of them lol, and most of the improvements come from weather mods and lighting.

Not sure I would put it in my top 5 most visually impressive games but it certianly looks much better. The modding just feels like the developers couldn't be bothered to make it look OK - **** it just release in on the Oblivion engine and let people upgrade it for free :p.

Yeah it is more to do with the atmosphere that the weather/lighting mods create, very similar to the complete mods for Stalker games. When a storm hits it is brilliant! As i said, those pics don't really show it off as they are mostly sunny though. Also New Vegas Redesigned improves all NPC's and makes them match their voices which is another great improvement. When you consider that you can actually set foot on every area on the screen I think it looks amazing, they aren't just backgrounds.

BF3 - I always seem to notice something new every time I play. The attention to detail is insane sometimes.
Skyrim - The wide open views and the night sky are just amazing some times, even if the textures are a bit off sometimes.
Bastion - Not as good graphically as the others, but it just looks great. Really well designed game.
Total War: Shogun 2 - The huge battles are insanely impressive, especially when you zoom in a bit and see some of the fights going on in amongst it all.
Can't really think of any more. Maybe Dirt 3, but I haven't played it all that much since I got it free with my GPU.

Crysis - 'nuff said
Dirt 3 - very difficult to fault it
Metro 2033 (only the indoor sections though)
Serious Sam HD (for the scaling capabilities of the engine i.e. capability to show dozens of enemies onscreen in massive open environments)
Can't think of a 5th but based on screenshot the ENB mod for GTA4 looks very impressive

Trine 2 - technically and artistically jaw dropping, just play it with 4xSSAA for an even better experience.

Other than that nothing has made my jaw drop apart from the first time I played Shadow of the Beast on the Amiga and the original Unreal.

1. BF3 the new king.

2. Crysis-What can be said that hasn't already!

3. Metro 2033 with gpu physx, jaw dropping!

4. The Witcher 2-full of colour and very vibrant, it's DX9 coding looks better than most DX11 games!

5. Batman AA/AC again with gpu physx!
