Upgrade Help or new system build

Hi guys im in need of help. I would like to know if i should upgrade certain.parts or upgrade everything.
My specs
Nforce 790i ultra sli
asus hd6870
4gb ddr3 1600mhz intel low.voltage
1tb samsung f2
Intel q9450 overclockd at 3.5ghz
Dont knw what psu it is
Its an alienware area 51

i was thinking of changing the mobo and cpu but dont knw to which once.

I would really appreciatw the help.

What sort of budget were you thinking?

Well it will acctually depend on what I should do. If i should just change mobo and cpu or the full system. Budget is £500 as I also want to change to a water cooler.

First glance tells me theres nothing wrong with your current CPU/board/RAM

Dont knw what psu it is

Definitely need to find this out, any upgrades depends on the quality of the PSU, never skimp on this as low budget/low power PSU's cant deliver the wattage they say they can .

Its used for gaming. The reason why i want to change is that the mobo as I was told is messd up. As whilst playing games it freezes the system and had it send down to repairs twice. Also i wanted to change the case and fans.

Are your drives SATA or IDE? modern boards are SATA only.

32 or 64 bit OS?

Sata and I wouldnt mind changing the psu either as I dont know its watts.

Altered the spec

Excuse me if it sounds stupid but should i sell my 6870 and get 2 6850 or buy another 6870 and crossfire it.
