Are OCUK Forums in decline?

The forums do seem to be cyclical in terms of both quantity and quality but identifying when there's a peak or a trough only tends to become clearly apparent after the fact. There's a certain amount of correlation between school holidays and a rise in the number of posts but it wouldn't be entirely fair to say that it always equates to a drop in quality - age and ability to post during the day is no indication of the usefulness of a persons input.

However I don't think the forums are in decline, they still seem to be very popular but that doesn't always mean that you'll get hundreds of replies to each thread. Sometimes it's nice if people actually post a bit less but consider what they're posting a bit more.

I don't like it when the forum's too busy - some good threads slip into obscurity due to the high turnover.

It's getting busier I reckon but there are far too many attention seekers and more people posting crap. Plus the usual first 5/10/15 replies you get are just **** memes.

The quality of posts isn't very good at all lately. It's also very repetative.

A toaster is a hugely important purchasing decision. If you have your own place this is one of the most useful kitchen items you can get. Mannnnnn…….nothing sorts late night or midday munchies like a nice slice of hot, perfectly cooked buttered toast. I have heard you can even add beans onto the toast afterwards for a fuller effect.

My toaster (£9.99) makes rubbish toast whereas my mates (probably cost £40+) makes the ulitmate toast even when using the same bread.

So if people want to start spec me a toaster threads good on them.

Looking at the front page, there are maybe 2 threads that are interesting and are worthy for discussion. The rest are pretty pap. But some days there'll be lots of decent threads.
