This week, the Grauniad is offering more free audio downloads. Monday's offering is Eat, Pray, Love which was made into a film starring Julia Roberts.
IMDB said:
Liz Gilbert had everything a modern woman is supposed to dream of having - a husband, a house, a successful career - yet like so many others, she found herself lost, confused, and searching for what she really wanted in life. Newly divorced and at a crossroads, Gilbert steps out of her comfort zone, risking everything to change her life, embarking on a journey around the world that becomes a quest for self-discovery. In her travels, she discovers the true pleasure of nourishment by eating in Italy; the power of prayer in India, and, finally and unexpectedly, the inner peace and balance of true love in Bali.

Jesus Christ, I can't even tell if you're recommending this or not.

Can you please rephrase the OP using different words in a different order which I could understand if I actually cared in even a very small and tiny way?

Cheers stockhausen! :)

Didn't like the film, but I'll give the download a go.

A more apt name for the film would be; Eat, Pray, Love, Vomit and finally a slow drawn out suicide.

stockhausen - just stop. Calling it "Grauniad" and "New of the Screws" just makes you look a little too try hard. It gets very tiresome. Do you actually work at the Guardian because it seems like you are their marketing tool.

No. You are clearly illiterate and as a result, wouldn't understand the book anyhow :p

It wasn't funny when Private Eye did it and it's even less funny now.

I've read the book. My issue wasn't with the book.

Just call newspapers by their right name! Everybody knows what you mean by it, it's not funny (No really, it's not) and it doesn't make you look clever. So the change in name serves no purpose at all, other than to annoy. If you're not a troll, stop it. If you are, **** off

Gotcha, signing up now, thanks. :)

Zen and The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance

Tuesday's free audiobook offering from the Grauniad is the ancient and most excellent Zen and The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.

Wikipedia said:
The book describes, in first person, a 17-day journey on his motorcycle from Minnesota to California by the author (though he is not identified in the book) and his son Chris, joined for the first nine days by close friends John and Sylvia Sutherland. The trip is punctuated by numerous philosophical discussions, referred to as Chautauquas by the author, on topics including epistemology, ethical emotivism and the philosophy of science.

Cheers once again.

I take it I'm not the only one irritated by this then?

Seriously.

How is stockhausen mis spelling something for effect different to anyone else?

There are countless posters on here who post and mis spell things on a consistent basis too, yet I don't see them getting this type of stick?

He's not misspelling it. The Grauniad was the nickname given to the paper by Private Eye many moons ago. It’s use has lost its “charm” over the years and people are getting sick of hearing it over and over again.

He's purposefully mis spelling 'The Guardian' (I'm fully aware about the Private Eye name) but how is this any different to the countless other posters who mis spell things on purpose?

Point still stands.

It's a mob mentality against stockhausen.

Agreed.

The name "Daily Fail" is used virtually on a daily basis by many posters with no mention.

If using "The Grauniad" really upsets you that much, you need to put the keyboard down and go relax somewhere :p

edit : Thanks for the links SH
