Maybe instead of prison repeat offenders with aggressive tendencies need to instead be forced to have some kind of medication that rebalance their testosterone levels or something, maybe in the future some kind of wonder drug could be developed to do this safely without any adverse negative effects, prison alone doesn't seem to be much of a deterrent.


What do people think about drugs to address the issue?, I guess going down this road your getting into eugenics though which is dodgy territory.

I'm prepared to play devils advocate, I think maybe you could argue that we would be extinct as early in our development we heavily relied on our brute force aggression for hunting and survival.

Who says its a problem? And probably it is testosterone and the social environment.

I understand there is a flip side and men will say that we've fought wars that have lead to great advances in technology that have benefited society etc but was it worth it?

Yes its worth it, its not just on-going war, but the threat of war which is the driving force of all of history, the need to prepare, to anticipate, to evolve new ways of thinking, new doctrines, new technology, it is the ultimate competition.

It would be a world without conflict where there would be no point to my existence.

And in our early development we relied upon strategy, tactics, intelligence, co-ordination, not brute force. Do not mistake aggression for brute force, aggression is about attacking in many ways, constantly, relentlessly and always first. You therefore dictate what your opponents must do, when you end up in a position where you are reacting to what someone else is doing, unable to make your own moves. Then you are totally ******.
