Everyone has probably seen the Ferris Bueller's one, but this has hit the internet early as well.

The new Honda NSX, starring Seinfeld and a surprise at the end.

I think Jay Leno is feeling the pinch, in comparison to before anyway, since his talk show is tanking after the whole Conan debacle

Discuss the superbowl car commercials here.

Last years standout for me was this one by Mercedes

Apparently the 2006 World Cup Final averaged over twice the worldwide viewing figures that the Superbowl managed in that year.

Not found much about the 2010 WCF but I can't imagine the Superbowl managed to beat it with figures like that in 2006.

People in the 3rd worlds are all fans of soccer because of how accessible it is to play. If every society had the kind of investment in sport that the USA had Soccer would not be popular, you need a lot of money to play American football, hence its small market. It is by far and away the best game.

In America Soccer is played by girls like netball is here to basketball, that's how bad it is.

Lol, you so funny.

The NFL has spent billions of dollars world wide trying to promote the game for decades in many developed countries because all they're intrested in is making money. Football ("soccer") is still a much more appealing, popular, marketable, revenue generating, watchable, competitive game that the other could ever be at both club and international level, rich or poor. And it continues to grow at a faster rate. I'd struggle to think of a county on earth that dosen't play football to a greater extent than American football bare America. Make of that what you will. Few of the countries that regularly feature in the world cup could ever be concidered 3rd world.

People are too poor and society too stingy to play American football, it has nothing to do with the merits of the game, more of the ease of access and cheapness to play. If both sports cost the same amount to play, American Football would be way more popular. Soccer is a game for wimpy men who are afraid of physical confrontation, sorry to break it to you, now seen as sport is a clear replacement for physical confrontation, Soccer falls flat. American football comes as close to it as a ball game can, Rugby comes close as well, ergo they are better sports.

Super unimpressed by the Ferris Bueller one.

Maybe if it had been an ad announcing the S2000's replacement or something... but it just wasn't that funny or clever which is odd for Honda.

American football is rugby for men who feel the need to wear body armour and helmets so they don't get hurt.

I'd say that ease to play and cost are two very big factors in assessing the "merits of the game", wouldn't you? Polo might be the words number one game if you didn't need a horse, the fact of the matter is you do, that excludes all par the people that have assess to one.

It also seem slightly ironic that you suggest that American Football would be more popular as it's a sport of "physical confrontation" (much like rugby), if it were not for the cost, when as far as I can see the cost of playing football and rugby is largely the same (a ball, and some posts if you must) yet football still reigns supreme.
