Hi all.

As title really. I'm after a new strategy game because I'm playing too much BF3! Anyway games I've played...

Men of war
Company of heroes
Supcom 1+2
Anno 2070
Most command and conquers
Age of empires 3
Civ (newest one)

I don't really like the total war series so that's out the window. any ideas?

Cheers :)

I used to have a lot of fun on Black and White 2. If you download the skirmish mod and play it as a city building its nice and relaxing.

Definately Black & White 1&2 (esp 2). Very fun and relaxing stuff :)

Have you played some of the older games?
Civ 4 and even 2 are excelent.
Ceasar 3 and Pharoah are very addictive!

Always heard about black and white but never played it. Best bit is these games will be pennies now lol.

Started playing startopia again as well, one of my favourite games of all time!

I have to say this but every nown and again I go back to the real classics. Theme Park (1) and Dune 2. They do feel good lol.

is Anno 2070 any good? been thinking about buying it recently (regardless of it being ubisoft, booo hisss)

Settlers 2, I still load that bad boy up every now and again!

Personally i thouht anno 2070 was great. Similar to 1404 in many respects but a new theme and new features. I found it harder to balance and plan the logistics especially when you expand past your first island. ( A welcome challenge, Not annoying)

3 things I've played recently I've been impressed with are

Hearts or Iron 2 - very simple graphics but a complex sim of WW2

World in conflict - Interesting modern warfare sim ( Russia invades America )

King Arthur the roleplaying wargame 1 - I like the way the victory points make the battles something more than just line up and charge.

My faves would be:

Anno 1404 (NOT!!!! 2070). Apart from the DRM thingy, it's pretty but dummed down.
Settler 2 - 10th Aniversary

A bit more towards RTS:
Spellforce 1 and 2
Evil Genius

Full RTS:
Dawn Of War 1 and 2
Starcraft 2

*dumbed down
Tbh I thought that at first but once you get into the latter stages of underwater exploration and juggling 3 factions and the resources they require, plus research and development, it becomes quite complex.

Anything by Paradox Interactive!!

Cruisader Kings is a fantastic one also for medeival period (2 coming out this month)

Or the Europa Universalis series :)

Been thinking of checking out more of there works myself, think you might just of persuaded me :D
