Hey guys/gals.

I got a Saitek v3 mouse a while back, left mouse button started playing up where sometimes it would respond and other times it just did not want to know.

Was sent back to OcUK on the 10th Jan. OcUK got the mouse back and have sent it back to Saitek. Still not heard a single thing, I sent it back recorded first class so we are talking roughly 19 working days so far over a stupid £18 mouse that I thought would have been replaced straight away without all the fuss.

Not OcUK's fault as they can only pass it back, I was told it can take upto 28 days. I find this very stupid for the product.

For £18 I should have just gone and got another one, been using this cheap £5 Tesco mouse since :)

I guess maybe I could be going over the top a tad and this is all normal in just the computer world. I do know on other stuff we buy normally within one week we would get a replacement or two weeks max, on normal every day stuff that might break.

I'd recommend buying Logitech if you are thinking of getting a new mouse.

After a recent RMA to them I can't fault their return process. After emailing them you receive a pre-paid label to return the item so no cost for returning.

I sent my faulty Logitech n700 laptop cooling pad back and they sent me a new one which turned out had a part missing so after sending them an email they just sent me another and told me to keep them both!

They (Logitech) replaced a 3 year old mouse for me even when I said how old it was and did not have the receipt for it. Even upgraded it from the G5 to the G500.

Couldn't believe it, only emailed them on the off chance they might be able to do something (never thought they would) and I had no money to buy a replacement at the time.

Logitech and the rainforest website both have really good customer service from past experience.

I used to think OcUK were great but recent items have bought mean I probably wouldn't buy anything worth more than a fiver from here again :(

I foolishly bought a Blaze mouse for £20 from OCUK that simply did not function as described, and OCUK kindly allowed me to send it back.

I even more foolishly sent it back non registered post and unsurprisingly it never arrived so some thieving scummer postie got that one.

I also had faulty OCZ ram that would only have been replaced like for like so couldn't even be bothered with that either as my time is worth more than the time to send it back, get new ram, test it and then sell it on. (Nothing made by OCZ will ever darken my system again and corsair have a new loyal customer as a result.)

TBH, for £20 or so a RMA can be more hassle than it's worth.

Hey guys

I might sell it and buy logitech if I ever get it back then lol.

But yeah I even have a post open in customer support telling me I have to wait 28 days for them to send it back. But yeah as said above OcUK really should have just replaced it for me straight away for £18. I understand if an item is worth more money but I really should not have to wait this long for a stupid cheap £18 mouse.

Again as said above by MrMoonX I am kinda shocked they did not just send a new one straight away I have spent over £660 in under a year with OcUK, or if none in stock I would have paid an extra £10 or something to match the price of a different one.

Can't even get a reply from the customer support section of the forum now. Even though it has only been a day.

Pretty shocking service at the moment.

Do you really call 19 days for a return having no patience? I call it very sloppy service indeed. I say 19 days it goes up each day :p

Well, considering you've been stated 28 days...

It's not sloppy service as it's still within the policy...

Also I don't really understand the kick up as it's only a "stupid cheap £18 mouse". Your words not mine.

Yes it's impatience. Wether it's a matter of principle or not you've shot yourself in both feet.

If it was past the 28 days then I'd completely agree with you.

Yeah it is only a cheap mouse, I said that as something that cheap should really just be replaced without any fuss, something like a CPU or Motherboard which costs more then fine get it all checked out. I was also told within 28 days so I expected around a week maybe 2 tops, if I was told exactly 28 days on the dot I would have caused a stink right away. One month to get anything replaced is very shocking from any company and no one should have to put up with that.

Well I do know that waiting a full month to get a replacement will mean I will take my custom elsewhere. I know you lot don't care about that lol. But yeah I think that long is stupid, and in all my 32 years I have never ever waited for any replacement for that long. Hell M$ fixed my 360 and had it back within 8 working days :)

I understand wow its a month deal with it blah blah, no I won't lose any sleep over it, but it still is not the point. It is to long for anything, if you lot really think waiting that long is normal then I can only feel sorry you let companies do that to you. If it happens to me I just go elsewhere and get the proper service I pay for.

Royal Mail say what, upto 14 days for first class post? Normally that is like next day or the day after. Same kind of thing. Very rare does it have to go for the full length.

No, the bit you miss is that you were told a month (effectively) and you go to yourself, they must only mean half that.

If you fail to understand "up to 28 days" to mean "28 days" as the timeframe then that's your own fault.

Seriously, do you get on a 3 hour plane journey and expect it to take only an hour and a half?

Yes that is understood. The point you are missing is the fact they should NOT have told me that or done that. Any other company would have issued a refund or a replacement straight away after getting the item back. That is the point I am getting at. I know I was told 28 days but again no other decent company as stated above by others should have done that. I have returned stuff in the past to different companies and have never ever gone through this. I won't again either :)

That is the point.
