Can anyone explain to me why i have some jagged edges on my games withh full AA on? im using a DVI to HDMI connector and my GPU is a HD 5850 they are most noticeable on shift to on all the edges of my cars. its really bugging me!

For a start many things can do this and the main culprit is badly coded AA and you notice it on certain things like railings and when you move they flicker.Stairs are another i can spot this in.L4D2 8xMSAA helps a lot but from what i have experienced in older games it never goes away until you force supersampling or ubersampling which will take 70% of your framerate.

2x is crap and 4x is ok but really i think we need 8xMSAA to get a nice image but even then going to 4x supersampling is just eye sex compared to old AA.And believe it or not but when i first came from a CRT to LCD i thought wow where has my AA gone? LCD will also do this so i would imagine its less noticeable at 2560 res and better IPS panels.

Have u put the NV driver settings to high quality? Use application controlled AA and set it to multisampling. If its not good enough try enhance the application with 4x and set 4x ingame as well. You can turn off all trilinear and AA optimzations but they should be disabled once u choose high quality in the driver.

This Inject business looks interesting...anyone tried it with BF3?

BF3 has MSAA whats the problem?

Well, at 2560x1440, your FPS will be murdered by MSAA. FXAA is more efficient, but the in-game FXAA compared to the FXAA injector (which modifies saturation as well if desired) is very very far apart. The Injector looks amazing.

...um, so that's the "problem".

I really wish that Nvidia could make the injectable version of FXAA into a new driver setting.

Max AA settings would be 8x SSAA, but that is going to murder your FPS in just about any modern game.

Does it work with battlefield 3? Does it offer better performance than the bf3 aa?

Yep BF3.

From my limited testing, it has a far better FXAA implementation than in BF3 (assuming I am understanding all the settings correctly), and the color saturation is adjusted to make things look much more colourful and less dull.

I prefer the non-injected screenshots. Injected one look "grainy".

Interesting.....playing it, the vivid colours of the Injected one make all the difference imo. Also, the FXAA is more efficient, maybe not the best screenie to show but there are plenty more pics around on the net - maybe will make a few more.
