This will only be true if Google launch their own OS. Not enough people can be bothered to try it, but if Google OS goes widescale then it'll be based on Linux and people will probably consider it.

Linux is pretty much going to be the future of educational computers, especially with the raspberry pi. It's a hideous crime that colleges spend money on licenses when all the students use is office.
Mainly because it was aimed for the Netbook market which promptly vanished before Google could release Chrome OS leaving it high and dry. I think global shipping figures for Chrome OS netbooks is errmmm... 6 3/4
I expect it to be quietly killed off much like Wave with some waffle about deciding to focus on Android.
The prices on S4S are not low enough to make me consider buying their software. They also have Livescribe products on there that are supposedly on offer and are nearly twice the price of the purple shirt store.
