Top 5 pc games

1. UFO Enemy Unknown: still play it once a year, fantastic game.
2. Transport Tycoon Deluxe (OpenTTD): for such a simple game, its easy to spend hours on it and not realism the time until you see its morning already.
3. Civilization 2: It used to be 1 but i find myself able to still play Civ2 while i cant get seem to get back into Civ1.
4. Starcraft (Broodwar): best multiplayer experience ever.
5. Final Fantasy 7: loved it growing, still love it.

Maybe SOF2 should be in there somewhere!
and cs 1.6 too hard to choose!

1. Warcraft: Orcs & Humans 1994
2. World of Warcraft (as much as I hate it now, it's hard to argue)
3. Company of Heroes
4. Wolfenstein 3D Episodes 1-6
5. Prehistorik II


Hmmm... not necessarily in that order though I'd probably say Warcraft 1 is #1
 
Interesting everyones relationships with Warcraft. a lot of people say that it's one of the games they have played the most, however they end up falling out with it and hating it like some kind of bad divorce.

Think all MMO's suffer this, once you've played the content multiple times and mastered the endgame no amount of expansions can really keep you engaged :(
 
In no particular order, I think these are the ones which will had the biggest impact on me at the time...

Baldur's Gate 2
Magic Carpet
Hidden & Dangerous
Freespace 2
And then probably EVE for the absolute bloody minded insanity of the PvP interaction

The more I cast my mind back the more games I remember fondly. All of the above are associated with hours of gaming bliss.

I guess I played too many games as a kid :p

No other games have given me what these three have. So it will have to be my top 3.
 
Most hours spent for me would go to these games:

Quake games (Quakeworld + RA3 in particular)
Counterstrike (+Source)
Neverwinter Nights (Hordes of the Underdark mainly)
UFO - Enemy Unknown
WoW
