Zenon is normally my favourite caster, really cool chap :)

Played vs Ziggs so much in mid recently seeing as I've dipped my toe back into AP's and taken a bit of a hiatus from AD carries & Irelia game spamming.

Ziggs seems like a good champ who punishes people who don't know how to move sideways but up til now I haven't had a problem with him as Ryze or Kassadin, who tbh are some of the strongest AP picks.

Starve him of blue and he really feels it just because of the spammable nature of his spells which he needs as it seems his damage tails off slightly the longer the game progesses. But boy oh boy he looks like a right laugh to play, especially that ulti :D
 
Again the Noob questions when soloing middle is it mainly AP champs - I was looking into getting Brand as my next character after concentrating on Singed for a while.

What are your thoughts on Brand?

Brand is a great champ who deals tonnes of damage (;)).

However my problem with him is in team fights if you miss some of his skills which is very easy to (2 out of his 4 skills are aimed skill shots) then you become a bit of useless asset before your spells come off cooldown again.

Also worth mentioning is Cassiopeia seems to me to be a better version of brand, similar-ish skillset but much friendlier to use because of low cooldowns and she is one of the most popular AP mids atm, for a good reason! Cass is on free rotation at the moment so give her a whirl.

What level are you currently btw? If your 20+ then save your IP and purchase some yellow runes which give you mana regen per/5secs, these will help you out no end especially if your still learning the ropes.

I am only level 10 :) but I am saving my IP for runes like you said. I will purchase some RP to unlock a champ I would like to concentrate on, but before I go into getting him I will take advantage of the free rotation and try her out :p

Have a look through the link above mate, useful information on that site and theres a shiney video guide and everything :p basically gives you a good item build to aim for and to summarise, hit them with your Q spell and mash E as fast as you can :)

Cool, though my in game name is not rogueblade it's sh*tForBreakfast without any asterix's
 
Annie is a safer pick for low level players looking to play a mage imo. She has a very simple skill set, but a high skill cap. You can learn to last hit with both Q and a long auto attack range. And she's like 450 IP I think. She's a standard mage so it'll be good practise for other mages down the line.

Personally my AP of choice right now is Orianna. So much fun.
 
Yeah i play ap kennen. Really fun. My main characters atm is teemo/kennen and tryndamere for when i feel like some melee, going to get ziggs soon though, but saving IP for when i hit 20 for runes.
 
Whatever you do don't purchase xp boosts, I did and it's one of my regrets - really meant I missed the learning experience on the way up which is really important as the game does change when you hit 30 - some ways good some ways bad
 
Yeah i bought a 1day one but only managed to get 2 games in that day. Payed the £18 worth of rp bundle thing a few days ago, got kennen arctic kennen skin and super teemo skin, and bought a 3day ip boost. Got around 10 games out of it so far so was worth it.
 
I personally wish that LOL had a model which allowed a monthly sub, like £5 a month that would allow people to play all the skins and champs whilst subscribed. Certainly worth it - but they are doing ok by the current model so I guess they arn't too concerned :)
 
It is annoying, though, that their £4.50 RP pack isn't enough to buy a standard priced skin with if you don't have enough left over RP. They certainly knew what they were doing when they made it so you have to spend another £4.51 for the 100 or so extra RP you need. Daylight robbery if you ask me! :p
 
haha :D The only time ill pay again is for the 7 rune page pack when i feel like i really NEED more, and when i really want a new champ, which will probably be tomorrow, only £10 so not bothered, want the new one, ziggs or something, and the dragon person on sale ^^

Funnily enough, your the one of the first people who I've heard say that. Most everyone else always says they're one of the best things you could spend money on :D

I guess it depends how comfortable you are with different champs, I'm not and that was worse at level 30. That said if you think about it at most you're halving the time taken to level 30. I've played this game for 30 months - paying to reduce the time to get to 30 seems really pointless now :D
