Perceived as a noisy neighbour

The system I used to get around this is become a 300lbs, 54'' in chest, skin head, covered in scars sporting Heavy / Nu metal T-shirts and a don't **** with me attitude. Go round with your new look and say you'd like to get this sorted out.

I'd thoroughly recommend it. Does wonders!

Another system I have used is live in the rural Highlands were your nearest neighbour is around a quarter mile away and you can listen to screaming death metal at full volume until dawn.

Please fully star out all swearing in future. Thank you.

I guess this is the trouble on here. If I go in the kitchen and turn on the tap I can't hear my music.

There is no way it can be filling their space with sound.

Get some wireless speakers so you can hear it in the kitchen without having to turn it up? That sounds like the worst excuse for annoying your neighbours I've ever heard.

Edit: Misread, ignore. :o

Surely when you live in a block of flats you need to be mindful of the fact everyone else is quite close which means however much you might like doing X, Y or Z its perhaps incompatible with where you live?

At the same time, you need to mindful that you cannot expect perfect peace and quiet 24/7 as if you lived in a detached house, such understanding needs to go both ways.

Fair enough if someone is taking the michael but complaining about music at 5.30pm is probably erring on the unreasonable expectations side.

Keep being noisy if they bang on the Walls.
My friends had loads of complaints when they were renting and a few environmental health letters. I gave them a hand on the day they were moving out, the neighbour who would bang on his wall and complained stopped us as we were moving the sofa down the stairs and smugly said "oh your moving I see" to which my friend relied "na mate, just having a ****ing massive party"... His face was priceless.

Buy headphones or turn it down. If they can hear it it's too loud.

Don't be a douche, you wouldn't want to be on the receiving end.

Exactly this ^^^^^ We live near a block of flats and the idiot in the top flat constantly had his music that loud that all the surrounding flats and our row of cottages could hear it.

A few complaints later and a few months later and the police took away all of his audio equipment. Everything that made a sound, even a DS which I thought somewhat pointless.

You imo should be more considerate of others mate, sorry.

Lol, that might take a little while.

orderoftheflame I leave it at that volume. I was using it as an example of the level of noise.

I live in a terraced house, I hear my neighbours kids play his emo music every weekday morning at about 9am. However as its a reasonable time I don't complain, i could be a **** and bang on the wall, but why bother its not like its 6am or after 11pm.

your neighbour is a douche, 530pm come on!

if its actually within reason, I would ignore him until 11pm. (all noise regs etc).

This!

I can hear my neighbour upstairs walking about, the guy right at the top has thumping bass but the biggest complaint was my neighbours at 2-4am!, it was so bad I kicked up a right fuss with landlord and council. It's been a month of good nights sleep it better stay that way . I don't know how loud you have your music, could be too loud don't know

Tricky one but I'm inclined to agree you need to turn the music down and not **** off your neighbours. It's hateful having noisy neighbours. Go find headphones or get a detached house. Or get sound proofing in the walls.

If next door can hear your music, its too loud.

If he can't even hear it in his own flat just by doing something as crazily loud as running a tap, I find it slightly hard to believe it's being played loud enough to cause actual significant disturbances in other flats

I don't know the plan of his apartment, I'm just assuming that his bedroom and kitchen aren't the same room.

If he's playing it loud enough to hear a few rooms away, I'd say he's playing it loud enough for the neighbours that are connected to his bedroom to hear..
