unimportant things that annoy you

People who pick other people up for their grammar, punctuation or spelling.

Particularly when they only think that their own is correct.

No need for it.

Have I? I hope that whatever unimportant mistake I made didn't annoy you :p

It was you who said that bad grammar annoyed you, yet you managed make a mistake. I don't care about it, but when people complain about something and then do it themselves, it's pretty lame.

I didn't say I complain about it; I said it annoyed me.

Apart from some punctuation that I could have added, can I ask what grammar mistake you're referring to? I'm sure I'll regret asking.

People who complain about their home shopping not arriving in bags......

I'm bringing it to your god dam door! why do you need bags?
Totally unrelated but can I ask whats the funniest/weirdest swap you've done for someones shopping?

eg someone asked for toilet paper but you gave them nappies.

Thanks.

Well, I dunno which mistake he's referring to but....

You went from writing in present tense (complain) to past tense (annoyed).

'Can' should be 'may and 'what' should be 'which'.

Also bad punctuation does not mean bad grammar. Though, I've gotta a feeling you're going to tell me that you already knew that.

See, it's annoying isn't it? :p

Because we then have to make 300 trips back and forth from the front door to the kitchen :p.

Last week they swapped an bayonet fitting bulb with an edison screw bulb .

Also on this forum and as well as others it's the fights/spats that spawn from it. I can skip 5-10 posts and sometimes these posters still arguing over it.

It's a fair cop, guv' :)

I shall qualify my original annoyance to 'sloppy grammar and spelling below the standard expected of the medium'. That should let me get away with most mistakes on this forum without being called lame :)

People who say "can you do anything about it — yes/no — then why worry?"

If I can do something about it, I'm angry that I should even have to.
What ever it is, it's wasting my time and life is too short.

If I can't do something about it, I'm angry that I can't do something about it!

I forgot to add:

Customers who respond to "Anything else I can do to help you?" with "yeah, give me next weeks winning lottery numbers", "yeah give me a million pounds" or words to that effect. It wasnt funny the 1st time I heard it, so its certainly not funny the 1000th time!

Me:
Slow walkers
People who think it's fine to argue with their friends
People who sit near the edge of a swimming pool and expect not to get wet
People standing in the middle of corridors.

Yup!

People who sit on the pool are just idiots, they must know sitting on the edge of the pool and expecting not to get wet is just in invitation for people to dive-bomb as close as possible to them...
