I wrapped it and spoiled it. (lol56k)

Can't make my mind up about it. I think it goes well with the top half of the dash. But not as well lower down.

Nice application. I too have spent a lot of time indoors with the hairdryer. Some of it applying DI-NOC.

If you have any problems getting hold of DI-NOC - ask Minxy on here, she can get hold of large quantities at a great price, on a very quick turnaround :o

I'd of liked to see piano black, Yes a pita to keep clean but I just like it :)

Spoiler looks spot on to. :)

Just get a genuine BMW one? They are hardly expensive!

Fake Ebay plastic stuff = no! It's not an M reg E36.

oh I thought Gaygle said it's pretty hard to order a genuine one due to dealers requiring an m3 VIN?

Oh no ...what have you done!

I loved the wood, now you're gone and made it look like 90% of the other BMW's out there, except for the cream leather of course, which I must say looks a little odd with the carbon fibre effect, yet it matched the wood perfectly.

It does look very authentic from the pictures, really not to my taste though and I can't help but feel you just committed a crime against your car.

Also what is it with all the Rover comments? I would hardly say any BMW interior looks like a Rover, even though Rover have used wood in the past (so have Jaguar, Aston Martin and Rolls Royce to name a few others) ...although it was fake wood in the '90s I imagine. Luxury and executive cars have always traditionally featured wood and more recently at least the option to have it. Shame to see it taped over.

I like it, I would never EVER get the Piano Black trim again. I had it on my first 335i it looked terrible 99% of the time as it was covered in dust and smug marks.

Also what is it with all the Rover comments?

Back in the late 80's Rover decided to pretend to be really upmarket by filling everything with the sort of wood you'd previously only seen on actually upmarket cars.

As a result, everyone on OCuk now thinks that wood 'looks like a Rover' presumably in the same way that having 4 wheels 'Looks like a Kia' because Kia's have 4 wheels as well.

This is presumably a sentiment ignored by Mercedes, BMW, Land Rover, Jaguar, Rolls Royce etc who continue to offer wood trim, often as standard, and buyers who continue to spec it. But to be fair wood is not usually a 'youthful' choice and most under 30's wouldn't want it anyway so it's not suprising it gets such bad press on here.

I agree with fox, the original was better in my opinion (and I'm well under 30). But i'd rather have the ''finger-print magnet'' Piano Black :D

I read the title as "I wrapped it and spoiled it (as in ruined it :) )

prefer the wood

Even though I'm not a great fan of wood trim the carbon just doesn't look right at all, though it's been very nicely done. The spoiler looks fine though.

Going away from the topic slightly, is the exhaust on this car non-standard, just seems to me that the pipes are larger than I seem to remember from other 335i's that I've seen around? It may just be my funny eyesight :)
