The SuperBowl

Don't try and reason with me because I'm completely unreasonable when it comes to this. Football is football and this is egg chasing.

This is too slow, too many breaks and has overly complicated rules. I might watch the Super Bowl again next year if I'm awake and there's nothing else to do but that's about it.

The stop start is a pain, usually watching it on pc anyways via game pass so can discuss+watch making it bearable.

If there's one thing proper football needs to copy is the challenge system, god it would help so much.

No, I don't think I will. I can't stand any form of egg chasing but the fact they call this football ****es me off even more.

I only watched this as I'm up and it's the final.

lol, it can be refreshing to watch a game... dodgy call...... video replay, gets it spot in 99.9% of the time :p

Makes a change from normal football, I love football, but I do love the tactical nature of American football, plus, awesome explosive nature of it.

Yup, it would make a god damned, ridiculous, massive change in football. I've said before limiting the challenge type system stops it being abused(no more than subs, and should help replace all the rolling around and "injury treatment" from diving players, as they wouldn't try diving in the first place), and if everyone gets called on every dive, cheat, penalty........ simple thing is people will stop cheating the vast majority of the time.

It would fundamentally "fix" football.

Played Giants, deserved it in the end, just seemed that little more focused and wanted it more.

And lol as if American Football is free from dive, cheating etc, every play there is border-line dodgy activity going on, just like there is in football, that most of the time goes unnoticed because it's not 'that' important at the time.

Best way to learn how to play American Football is to pick up a cheap second hand copy of NFL Blitz or Madden or something and play it for a while, you'll soon pick up the basics :p

Yes, but cheating, a bit of light pulling in the light of what the game and rules are, the "big" things are essentially always caught, and when not, you throw a flag if its game changing and it normally gets sorted out correctly.

There's plenty of crap that happens in normal football that doesn't matter in the slightest, but a huge portion of huge game changing decisions get called incorrectly. That would almost completely stop.

PMSL oh dear oh dear Pats beaten again by the Giants:D:D:D...2008 was bad enough but 4 yrs on again we screw over the Pats hahahaha.

Just got back from a mad night at my friends place watching the game...what a sweet awesome victory for my Giants...absolutely loving it, told my mates that Giants would win it although it was a bit touch and go but am so happy we won it again...4 time Superbowl champs:D:D

Eli Manning can have my babies anytime lol:p

Some of the guys at work arnt happy, we were all sat in our cars listening to the last few minutes before we had to start the night shift.
the roads were completely empty on the way to work. Nothing on the motorway which seemed odd.

What a game! I wanted the Pats to win but had the Giants -3 so not a bad call. Incredible pass to setup the NY touchdown and Brady failed by his receivers right when they needed it.

I had the good fortune to watch the playoffs in the US (sensible time of day!) and they were both to the wire. Glad the SB didn't disappoint.

Eli Manning won a nice car for being the MVP!

It was a good close entertaining game this year though, I enjoyed it. Suffering a bit today for it though :D

He does my head in tbqh...always nodding his head and giving that stupid dumbass look at the camera...hilarious and cringeworthy at the same time:p

Yeah that annoyed me so much I had to change to the BBC before the game even started! That was a worse choice though cause it was 4 hours of those guys shouting down their mics why were they speaking so loud?!

First time watching a superbowl all the way through & I agree with most of what BaZ87 said though. Too many stops & doesn't flow at all. I can see the appeal though I guess.

He just blurts out random stuff which is sometimes funny lol.

True but its the way he nods his head when looking at the camera...its like a yeh look at me im a badass american type of look :p

Still buzzing after last nights win, still cant believe we done over the Pats again albeit 4 yrs later lol.

Great game, used to watch the NFL on Channel 4 all those years ago and just started watching again this year (on Sky).

For some reason that I dont know, I have a severe dislike for Eli Manning, so have rooted for everyone except the Giants this year :)

But Manning is one hell of a ball chucker.

The Sky pundits are ok, the main guy who keeps saying "Ball game" does my nut in, but the whole package is good. Ad breaks etc are all ok and during plays you actually learn quite a bit about the game.

Have to say im not a follower, but for some reason always remembered the Giants so wanted them to win lol.

Not knowing all the rules, why didnt the Giants want to score that touch down and keep it one yard out?...I was guessing it meant using up more time, but not sure.

I'm a happy man this morning after seeing the giants win. Put a £1 on them to win the supper bowel at 19/1 back on the 3rd of Jan 2012. Happy days!

Ooooh, what are you going to spend your new found fortune on? :p

Patriots would have won that if they could catch and imo NFL would be better if it was similar to Rugby where when the clock reaches zero the game isn't over until the ball is turned over.

Correct. Best way to stop a team from scoring is to keep their offence off the field. Ideally they wanted to burn up the clock, and kick a field goal.
