I wrapped it and spoiled it. (lol56k)

Im assuming the spolier on mine is an OEM one, looks identical to the silver car above. Don't suppose there is any way of really knowing. It doesn't seem to be mentioned in the specification print out I have for the car. I do think the spoiler helps the look of the back of the car.

from what i seen of copy parts is that the copies are made of fibre glass and need a bit of filling and sanding before painting and ome out of abs plastic these are perfectly flat all that needed is keying and painting. the filling and flattening part might add to the cost of the paint shop bill.

Ignore Fox, the spoiler was one of the rare bargains you get on eBay and when you get it, you'll wonder why you ever considered paying 4 times more for one, just because it in a lovely BMW box.

Item number: 220918799878

If for some reason you hated it (honestly can't see why you would), chuck it on E90 post for £40 and someone probably will have it off you by the end of the day (especially if it's finished in silver or black).

Only piece of advice is to not use the tape that comes with it - go to B&Q and buy some No More Nails tape (red). Should be £2. This No More Nails tape is mental strong.

You're right I just read on BMW land that it costs around £250 painted. That is insane when you can get actual carbon fibre spoilers from ssddmotorsport for £160.

Edit:
Just ordered, £45 delivered from the same guy, like you said if it's not up to scratch I can always sell it on, looks good from your pics though.

the dark wood malt vinegar posted looks good. Agreed with the spoiler though, £200 for something that small!

I loved my E92 wood :D

Why would you possibly have that awful mix of black, beige and wood when you can have something that looks awesome, modern and the opposite of something your grandad would prefer? :p

Prefer the Carbon Fibre look the wood also

Good thing about the wrap is that at least you can take it off and change it back should you change your mind next year or whatever.

looks good, but watch with the Di-noc for lifting off the edges in the future, even if he has tucked it behind. I did my old A8 and it lifted after a few months, the di-noc doesn't bend around corners too well unlike the superior hexis vinyl thats designed for car interiors and doesn't lift.

Has he used a primer do you know to apply the vinyl? if he has you won't get it off if you ever wanted to revert back to the wood.

I was a massive fan of di-noc until I noticed a lot of wrappers switch to the easier to use hexis wrap.

Your motor now looks good, but it would have looked much much better with the 3M ME-904 Brushed aluminium vinyl applied.

i just think many people who like wood trim in cars, tend to make up the more "mature" (read: old man :p) demographic. :)

Oi watch it :p ...I may not actually be an old man, but I've been told a number of times by those that know me well that I was born 'middle aged' ...so I guess you're probably right.

A 3 series isn't a luxuary car in my mind either, but it is a compact executive car and with a light coloured interior, high spec level, 6 cylinder engine and an autobox it's certainly got quite a few luxurious credentials.

There aren't really too many cars like the 3 series BMW, that can be specced so as to basically be a rival to a Passat or to feel like a properly premium car, with the spec, interior, engine and drive line to do it all. It's a hell of a wide array of of options.

With the exception of the red leather interior, they all look far, far worse than cream and wood.

Cheap and tacky != modern.

Classy and upmarket != old-fashioned.

IMHO, anyway.
