Chavs throwing stones at a local Goose!

Close to where I live is a stream (currently frozen over) which is home to a number of waterfowl. About a week ago a Greylag Goose moved in, which attracted a large amount of attention from the local chav population when it started chasing them on their way to and from college. At first it was quite funny, watching big groups of chavs scattered by a bird as high as their knees - but now it's becoming quite out of control.

The chavs hurls stones and other objects at the bird in the morning. They come by at lunchtime and continue. After college they come by again and throw more. Earlier today the animal was so distressed that it was nearly knocked down after they chased it into a nearby road.

I'm 24 and I know that 'boys will be boys' so to speak, but I find it quite difficult to ignore and my girlfriend gets upset by it. I have yelled at the chavs, threatened them with the RSPCA, pretended to film them, and now I really don't know what to do next. What would you guys advise? The RSPCA won't do anything unless the animal is injured.

Take photos of them or even video and phone the police.

dress up as a goose and throw stones at the chavs, if you persist they will learn to associate geese with danger and run when ever they see one...

Dial 101 and report animal cruelty.

Or toss empty cans of white lightning into a busy road.

Why not have a word with your community protection officer. If they are from a local college then I’d let them know what is happening as well.

Video the offending urchins and show the footage to the school. This sort of stuff makes me mad.

Could do this, but be prepared to have stones thrown at you.

Are you sure the RSPB won't send someone out to have at look at the situation? Give them the times of when the young gits are playing up.

There used to be a swan couple in a pond by my old house, they were always together, and then some chav cretins killed one of them by stoning it to death. The other spent the rest of it's life alone.

Disgusting animals. (the chavs that is)

Had a similar thing Saturday night with the snow that fell in Kingston, loads of ***** throwing snow balls at the swans in the river.

Really does sicken me as to why some people (read 'scum') have to do this.

phone the police. Lots of criminal offences taking place, rather sad they feel the need to do this.
