My friend has a Toyota Aygo that he has just bought...and after using half the tank on his first fill up, the trip meter says 216...but is not sure if its km or miles as it doesnt say anything, not even in the manual.

We think its miles, but he doesnt think he has travelled so much so thinks its more realistically km..

Miles - No UK car will read km unless you're able to switch between them (I've got a km/miles button) Given that a tank probably costs £30-35 that's pretty dam good!

Thanks, exactly what I thought.

Pretty sure the tank is 35l so its about £50 :)

Never had to completely fill mine but its costs me around £45. And 216 miles @ 1/2 tank is pretty bang on.
Usually get around 300-320 miles before I chicken out and fill up (its a digital fuel gauge!)

Even so - I only get 220-240 miles to £30 of stinking diesel so at 216 for £25ish that's pretty bloody good. Plus there's a characterful 3 pot thrum to go along with it
