I assume it's a 50 litre tank and 200-250 miles on average?

Quick Google shows it as a 63litre tank.... My maths is poor so I can't tell you how far 63litres will get you at 20mpg :D

Be nice if they were £650 fitted, that'd make it just £100 for fitting given the part is 550, alas I can't see anywhere fitting a diff to fwd car for much less than £300 and that'd be at the cheaper end of the scale given the nature of the job :)

You might be right...I got mine fitted while the engine was out so it got absorbed into the labour figure.

If you do, q2 is a must. Makes it the car it should have been sold as...as standard. Sorts out its biggest dynamic flaw. Enjoying mine for 2 years now, reliable although suspension noise ive now come to accept.

Only do 5k a year in the worst possible environment, 80% town, mpg there 16-22. Motorway 30mpg I've seen once or twice, 28mpg at legal max, give or take is what I get. Great interior surviving 2 riotous kids very well indeed. Still enjoying the Alfa traits of it looking and sounding great.

Well, the idea is out of the windows for now; my insurance company won't cover me on it as I don't have enough years no claims.

I've looked into cancelling policies and moving companies before and all it ever does is work out very expensive and I'd rather put the money to the side.

Unless you are 19, the cost is minimal.

I'd rather just stick with my current company save faffing around.

The cheapest price on Go Compare is £500 more than I pay now, so it's not looking promising. All to change to a car I fancy on a whim? Not worth it, lets be honest.
