Dress Watch Advice - £2-3k

Hi,

I'm after a smart, slim, "dress" watch, simple face, I like roman numeral numbers or lines, leather strap. Discrete and ele

I don't want anything too snazzy, I don't want a huge watch.

As for new vs old - I could not care. I think buying second hand makes sense.

In terms of brands: Jaeger Le Coulture and Cartier are what I was thinking of. But looking to know what else I can get.

I'd rather avoid the more mass market: Longines, Raymond Weil, Omega, Tag Heuer.

Cartier are well behind JLC in terms of quality

maybe look at a used JLC master Geographic or an IWC portuguese

I would say the IWC fits your requirements closer

Cartiers name holds more weight if you're looking for that kind of watch. I agree with Rotty that JLC have better build quality though.
