Simple question. Worth getting?

Currently have this bad boy. Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Fatal1ty Professional Series
(Trolololol , If I'm honest its been a right bugger to sort out with drivers but produces good audio.)

Just wondering if the new card Creative has released poses as a better solution in my scenario?

-5.1 z-5500's in analogue
-Also got Beats Pro headphones , now the nice thing with the new card is that it has a dedicated headphone amplifier.

I'm a bit of an audiophile so the decision is really on whether or not sound quality will improve.

Haha. Tell me you are kidding.

People use that word far too often, without knowing what it really means.

If you're using Logitech Z-5500's and a pair of Dr Dre headphones, and claiming to be a bit of an audiophile, then that's like regularly dining in a fish and chip shop, and proclaiming you are a connoisseur of fine cuisine.

Ill admit the Monster brand takes a beating, but you should really have a look at the Pros as they are far superior to the other models they have released. I confess there are better out there for the price. But insinuating that my products are poor really is not what I'm after. I'm after a source that will enhance my listening experience from what I have been previously using.

And for the record, just because I am not in the music industry or have a studio set up, does not mean one is not an audiophile. The term is used just like you would reference a hardware enthusiast guy.

I am just asking whether the latest iteration Creative have came up with is worthy upgrade :P

Titanium HD or Essence STX would be the cards to go for if sound is the only criteria and you've got cash to spend.

There's probably a few other cards out there that are good or maybe even better for playing music only but if you want to be able to play games too without too much hassle then those two are your best bet.
