Im a sixth form student and i work 8 hours a week, im wanting to get a monitor but dont really want to pay for it straight off although if necessary i will. Most finance companies say that they will not accept applications for students working less than 16 hours. Is there any way around this or am i going to have pay for it outright? Also how will i start getting a reputation for finance companies to accept me?

Pay for it with money you have, not money you hope to have.

To get a reputation with a finance company maybe try working more than 16 hours a week?

Small sum like that get a loan from a friend/parnt and setup a dd.

Personally I'd just pay for it outright as getting into the habit of using credit to get the things you want can be a dangerous thing.

If you are only on 8 hours a week and are concerned about the costs is it not better to go for a 200 quid one instead? 500 quid on a monitor seems odd in your position.

This, credit is a slippery slope.

No need for a £500 monitor. I'm in full time work and thinking about buying a £500 plasma scares me a little.

Its not that i dont have the money its just i dont really want to spend it all at once just incase but if necessary i will.

This... Unless you are an art student who needs accurate colour reproduction then you're being just a little short sighted...

your a sixth form student so I'm guessing your probably under 18 as well, so no you won't get finance, I doubt you would anyway, just pay with what you can save

Or maybe he is just wanting to watch life sized pron on valentines day :D

You could pay for your own porn shoot for that much! (*lightbulb!*)

Hahaha rude people in this forum

... No, you're just being told straight that your idea isn't so great and you don't like it. What benefit will you see from a £500 monitor over a £200 one?

You'll look back and thank us :p
