OCUK my PC broke! :O Help! Very strange thing happened!

As title, was on it last night just doing some photo editing and it like shut off (assume to reboot) but it never rebooted again ... :mad:

Spec:

Crosshair Formula IV
AMD x6 1055t at 4ghz (cooled by silver arrow)
16gb g skill 1600mhz cas 8 ram (4x4)
ATI 6970

Im an experienced pc builder so went into default diagnostics mode, ripped everything out bar the bare essentials and discovered that if I put ram in all 4 ram slots (specifically channel 2, slots 2 and 4 black) it wont post now :confused:

But if I only leave ram in channel 1 slots 1 and 3 red...seems to boot

Anyone ever seen this before ? Seems mighty odd to me! Has the 2nd of the 'dual channel ram channels' decided to break or something ?

Did you test it with your overclock? Try resetting bios to defaults and trying again if you did

Yeah reset CMOS same happens :/

Maybe a faulty stick of RAM - or at worst, dodgy motherboard.

Check for any BIOS updates that might relate to this issue?

Yeah... its annoying as its been fine for years and all of a sudden, boom.

Just and update incase anyone has similar its working fine now, no idea why it stopped, poss a power fluc, but were on the road again sporting 16gb
