Can an admin remove the stuff about London Escort Girls please from the Linktart site. Obviously it's not family friendly...

Can we not set an approval for membership of the site so that saddos like 'Austin' cannot open an account to post spam?

manual approval only introduces frustration for new members and admin work....it also does not resolve this issue, as seen by the occasional spam we see here on ocuk

will attempt to go delete it now, assuming another admin hasn't already done so.

didnt say much in this matter, but personnally I dont mind what the admins got up to - they donate so much time to "admistrative" and "modding" roles I cant imagine how little time they acutally have to themselves to enjoy minecraft as it is.

:o Anyway moving on from the past....

Mods - is there anywhere near spawn that I could build a community swap building? Its a small building/room which you can trade safely without the rish of you losing your own stuff and not getting anything in return. I know it happens on VERY rare occasions (as far as I am aware) but its another usefull build when high price swaps are going on and new members may be involved.

The acutual size of the the building is only 9x15 blocks, so not huge but obviously some border room would be nice so it doesnt like it was squished in

Just a suggestion... :)
I also think this would be a good idea, if you need any mats etc i would be more then happy to help, makes it easier for new players to trade without the risk of the other player running off with lots of goodies!

i think we are looking at the barter signs again as they may have been updated for bukkit
then you can use the market at spawn for trading

yar the old market system was fine and should do exactly what hunter wants.

Also another big thumbs up for John Smiths texture pack, long time user even tho the latest update made it a bit worse its still hands down the best for any castle type builds

link should be working now :D

On the note of my texture pack over the next few days going to have a huge update.

Some of the changes
Changed rain splash textures
Add 1.2 textures
Changed Cati texture
Changed some wood bark texture
Changed glowstone texture made it darker and slight color dif help blend into nether better
Added a slight blur effect around coal and diamonds help it blend better into the stone
Changed iron block texture
Changed diamond block texture
Lightened netherrack slightly
Changed old saplings
Changed wool texture more detail yet smooth and dont look like sand now
Lighter dirt I know some people like the darker dirt but more complaints about it being dark so changed sorry.
Made side snow texture a little smoother and fully seamless now.
change bookshelfs to have bigger books
change spawn egg texture to look more like eggs and not xmas lights
Change 3 paintings that are 2 dark
Added some detail to gold and diamond armor
Changed enchanting text symbols to my own symbols
Changed new sword textures (now all swords have dif texture)
Merging Np texture pack and Np Mobs into 64,128 and 256 packs not bothering merging with 32 Np mobs will still have stand alone download

Currently finishing off NP Mobs textures. (When done they will still need hell of lot work but atm more bothered about getting bases done for me to work on).

My linktart.co.uk password is not being accepted and I want to make a donation.

I have requested a password reset and the email has not come through.

Can you please reset it and trust me a temp password.

Many THanks

the LB texture mod is good, but a FPS killer. Misa Mod i would recommend

Same here, Misa's with GLSL Shaders. All with OptiFine MultiCore.

I'd use LP 256x since it looks better than Misa's but the icons are simply terrible!

Sphax works well on Creative servers, doesn't look anywhere as good on survival where most builds are stone/wood.

how do you find the GLSL shader, this causes terrible lag with my i5 gtx460

Runs just fine on my rig, no lag at all although I fail to see how it could introduce a lag. There is some fps drop but it's not noticeable as my game runs at 60+ fps 90% of the time.

Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders decimates my fps though, I got around 15 on average at spawn area iirc.

Yrth, could add Optifine here as that has an option for removing the void fog.

OptiFine has a number of useful options like zooming in with CTRL, Far View Distance (3x the normal distance), disabling many of the graphical settings can help to run the game on low-end rigs as well.

I use the Sphax PureBDCraft Texture Pack. I don't seem to be able to use Optifine and What's My Light Level at the same time though.

  1. Clean Minecraft install (delete .minecraft folder).
  2. Install OptiFine (or MCPatcher, OptiFine does the same thing though, runs better from my experience and has a bag full of customisation settings).
  3. Backup minecraft.jar (you could do that before installing OptiFine but that seems a little pointless since you could just revert to the clean install by deleting minecraft.jar and running the game).
  4. Install ModLoader (required by some mods).
  5. Install Shaders (optional, you can use either GLSL or Water Shaders but not both).
  6. Install mods. (those listed in yrthilian's thread are a good starting point)
  7. Install texture packs. (copy them over to texturepacks folder)

This is the map from 6.02.2012.
The one you linked to is what it would look like with expanded map borders, I believe.
I followed my route down here with the map so I'm pretty sure I know where I am, it's just that some things have changed since.

edit:
yep, I'm on the bit that's probably been added to your map (I've got my left/right mixed up, but I know where I am),
the bit I want to reach is on the extended map.
