iPhone 4s and giffgaff

But my concern is will they go bust ? And thinking if port number over something happens how do I keep number to take back to new provider?

How long they been around?

Well no-one can answer that unless they have a crystal ball.

Also google it for christ sake, surely then you can find out how long a damn company has been around....

GiffGaff is owned by o2 (telefonica), so no worries of them going bust. I've just left o2 contract for them, got my microsim the next day, activated it, just waiting til Monday and then I'm going to port my number over.

Being an O2 MVNO, they're hopefully not going anywhere (bad) soon....

gonna port my number from T-Mobile > giffgaff at the end of this month, as having tested it for a few days in my 4S, it's consistently faster than TM in pretty much every data test I've ran. I've still got an old O2 PAYG SIM I use in a combat phone when I go on the lash, which always gets a decent signal, so it's a no-brainer really.

Really can't complain at 10 quid a month for 250 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited data, so just go for it.

Easy to setup an iPhone for data access on giffgaff too, as they seem to currently get O2 APN settings.... quick trip to the forums on GG has plenty of help.

I've been with GiffGaff for almost 2 years now, can't complain!

Always excellent service in terms of GoodyBags and then I'm getting £5 credit for recommending a friend :D, woop!

Got my iPhone 4S in the beginning of January and activated my microsim sent by GiffGaff's Community and it works fantastic!

Would recommend GiffGaff for anyone looking for a new carrier/SIM and stuffs.

£10 GoodyBag all the way!

As I recall they're profitable, and have been around something like 5 years. As said they're backed by O2 so I can't see them running into too much bother.

Been with them for almost a year, they are very good. I was on O2 before so just moved across knowing the coverage will still be the same.

This!

Plus if you jailbreak and enable tethering the fact they give you unlimited internet is amazing.

giffgaff all the way for me... but remember you have to buy a goody bag every month manually to retain the unlimited data

I've been with giffgaff for a couple of years or so now too, and have found them to be reasonably reliable and very well priced.

The service you get from O2 and giffgaff should, and probably will be the same.

just for reference, you can't use iPhone's native voicemail, you will have to dial 443, can be annoying, but its ok with the low prices.
