i have just installed a 3960x that i bought and before i start to really play with it i wondered what temps, clocks and voltages others are getting....
of the bat i put it to 4.7ghz and lowered the vcore to 1.33v temps under prime were 40c @ 100% core temp showed it at 1.3v.
seems quite good? can you adjust the multi on these chips? mine is at 36 and after having a quick look it seems only bclk adjustment is this the case?

its silly fast at unpacking winrar files also i noticed :)

look forward to hearing what you guys have

Well I just been playing with my new 3930k, not sure at max clock but have settled at 4.8 on a 1.35vcore. Temps float around 65 under ibt. I started off at 1.375 at 4.8 was stable, tried 5.0 at the same core but it crashed at the desktop.

I suspect I could get 5 at 1.4v but a whole 0.5 jump for 200mhz isn't worth it. I'm hoping I can get the vcore down a bit from 1.35 but will see tomorrow.

And yes you can adjust the multiplier. This is on an asus sabertooth btw.

I had a go at overclocking mine when I first got it, and managed to get it relatively stable at 5GHz (40 x 125mhz BCLK) but it required 1.45v which I'm not comfortable with long term. Running at 4.625GHz (i.e. 37 x 125mhz BCLK) required 1.385v which isn't ideal either. I decided in the end to just run it at stock; it's more than fast enough for what I'm doing :)

Mine is at 4.7, multiplier only with 1.375v LLC on high, tried getting it to 4.8 but it wasn't IBT stable at 1.4v so I just gave in! Lol

I haven't tried anything with BCLK or CPU strap

if you alter bclk via cpu strap you can go 5mhz above choosen strap
for example if you choose the 125mhz strap you can up it to 130mhz
