How do i make a cup of tea?

Pour boiling water into cafetiere to preheat.
Spoon in coffee.
Add hot water (not boiling).
Stir.
Wait three minutes and stir again.
Plunge cafetiere.
Pour coffee.
Drink.
Wonder why anybody would want to put milk in coffee.
Look up and realise everyone's looking at you because this is tealand.

Milk never goes in first. Tea doesn't brew properly and the cold milk must take the edge off the boiling water (probably why it never brews strongly enough).

I put the teabag in the mug then add some milk then boil the kettle then put boiling water on it. I drink the tea with teabag still in and then at the end get the teabag and suck all the goodness out of it :)

i remember watching the paul burrel 'be a butler or dignity for women' can't remember what it was actually called and i've no idea why i was watching it but i seem to recall that he said the milk would always go in first so it would stop the tea from discolouring the fine china.

or i may have got mixed up.

I think that's only part of the reason or at least according to old wives tales, there's also the potential issue of cracking the china with boiling water. It's pretty unlikely but maybe it was enough of an issue at one point to matter.

If I'm using teabags and a mug as normal then milk goes in last.

My usual method is:

Tea bag and sugar in mug
Add boiling water and stir
Do a quick job while waiting for tea to infuse.
Get distracted.
Remember at some later point in time and find luke warm tea soup in a mug.
Remove teabag THEN add milk and stir
Hold nose and drink :D

Other than that, as Arknor says but add milk after removing teabag. For the love of God/Alien Overlords, please let it get some proper strength and body before serving to anyone you like.

Fresh tea leaves in a tea pot.
Add water - temperature depending on tea type.
Steep for 1-5 mins depending on the tea.
Add milk to cup, then pour in the tea.
Add sugar/lemon etc after as needed.

Lol at all you ponces with tea leaves, we live in the UK, Yorkshire Tea or PG Tips, everything else is pointless.

milk at the very end as it stops the brewing process

boil water
pour in cup
add tea bag
stir
wait 1-2mins
add sugar/sweetner
stir
add milk
stir
remove teabag
drink
put cup in sink
remember to wash later

Well you've got it wrong

Boil water
Warm Mug/Tea pot
Put loose tea leaves in infuser
Put hot water and infuser in mug/pot
Leave for 2-5 mins depending on tea, stirring lightly
REMOVE TEA LEAVES
Add a little milk if necessary
Enjoy

Ewww

Milk should never touch the teabag. Remove the bag then add the milk. Sheesh!

Exactly
