i remember watching the paul burrel 'be a butler or dignity for women' can't remember what it was actually called and i've no idea why i was watching it but i seem to recall that he said the milk would always go in first so it would stop the tea from discolouring the fine china.

Same as arknor but I like to remove the tea bag before adding milk or sugar.
milk at the very end as it stops the brewing process
boil water
pour in cup
add tea bag
stir
wait 1-2mins
add sugar/sweetner
stir
add milk
stir
remove teabag
drink
put cup in sink
remember to wash later
