Top Gear Series 18 *SPOILERS*

I actually quite enjoyed that.

Thought the final scene at the absolute end was utter quality as well, really brilliantly done.

It's been one of the funniest episodes in a while.

I still cannot fathom how people tune in, in the hope that there will be car reviews. TG stopped doing serious reviews many years ago.

We're not after serious reviews, we're after motor focussed entertainment which this sadly lacked.

How anyone could find this funny is beyond me.

It's a shame that the whole film segment was a bit too much like the India special, too much faffing around rather than actually doing something interesting

You are not going to get it though so why continue to tune in?

That's my point. I don't want it, I doubt anyone here does. I want supercars going sideways and funny jokes, not second rate slapstick and OH GOD THE HILARITY another exploding caravan. There's been fewer good episodes of late.

This eps started out well with the James May Corsa v Fiat feature. The whole chase thing was just too stupidly long, as was Hammond's OTT performance.

One of the worst episodes they've ever made.

I gave up actually watching it after the 'news' and just left it on in the background. Never heard of or seen the SIARPC before and the stunt thing was crap from what little bits I saw.

Re: the film stuff: the arguments with the director got some laughs, and Hammond's ****-ups were pretty funny as well, but I do agree with some of the other comments about it dragging slightly and Hammond in general being a bit OTT (he's easily the weakest aspect of Top Gear, but I couldn't imagine it without him - he does occasionally have some good [serious] moments).

Someone posted a clip after last weeks episode of Jeremy explaining this weeks episode was slower, more scripted and probably wouldn't go down well with petrol heads. Thought it was Jeremy just taking the **** but it was a very accurate description. Hopefully he'll do more 'next weeks episode is ****' videos so I know not to watch them.
