Hey I was wondering whether or not it would be a good idea to overclock my zotac gtx 560 amp. I currently overclocked its core clock to 970mhz and just want to get your approval of whether it would be a good idea to overclock it further here are the temps: with MSI afterburner and kombuster with the settings at 1920x1080 benchmark(no submission)
max temps around 60c fanspeeds around 1740RPM

thanks

What would be the reasoning on overclocking it, is it struggling in any games etc? What res do you game at?

Hi
I noticed it was lagging abit in skyrim playing everything on max @ 1920x1080 so i was wondering whether adjusting the coreclock bring out better fps. And performance thanks....so do you think it would be ok to pusht it to 1ghz with good cooling and fanspeeds.
I have the card at 985mhz just stresstesting it @995mhz with temps around 68c

Do you think i should reset it back to its default ?
No, you should be fine on your current 970MHz. The point I was trying to make is that beyond 970MHz (in fact beyond 950MHz), it simply require much more voltage for small increase on overclock comparing to when you were overclocking up to 950MHz. Personally I think when you get to the point when you need to increase more mV to stable lesser amount of MHz (i.e. need to increase 50mV to stablise extra 25MHz rather than just extra 25mV for extra 25MHz), it becomes not worth it when considering the extra power consumption and heat vs actual performance increase.

Thanks for the help I will keep it a 970mhz...do you think I could play every game maxed out with two of these cards in sli/crossfire? with a ocz modxstream 700wat psu? thanks
