Hi, i have a dell inspiron 545s with e5300 CPU, it has onboard graphics and wondered if i could upgrade the graphics?
It just seems the tower is so narrow to fit a decent card in but it says it has a a PCI express slot.

Could i get a GPU to fit in this as it suffers bad from mouse lag if i play games like SE1..

Thanks

NB above GPU suggestion may still need a low profile bracket!

Have a look at this

This is also the link to the service manual showing more details and spec.

Looks like its a 250W power supply (not ATX non standard), full PCIE 16x slot but needs low profile card as mentioned above.

Hi Guys, thanks that was quick lol
SE is "Sniper Elite", i have it plugged into my 32" TV 1240x1080 something like that..
Just that the mouse is sooooooo laggy when games are being played.
Yea its 250W PSU so will that be cause for concern? I dont plan on getting a new PC for 6 months but will spend £50 on upgrading this a bit.

Well for £50 sadly the 6570 will be the best then.

Luckily that game is old so the requirements aren't that high. You might be able to get good FPS on it on low detail.

Recommended System Requirements

System:
1.4Ghz or equivalent
RAM:
512 MB
Video Memory:
32 0
Hard Drive Space:
4000 MB
Other:
NVIDIA GeForce 4 TI 32 MB+

250W PSU is you biggest stumbling block! Upgrade that and then you'll be able to use something like £25 8800gt which will dramatically improve picture quality and fps. Dont buy a card for 250W PSU!
