This, thankfully my missus has made it very clear that she does not want me to spend a single penny on her today so just going to have a nice relaxing evening in tonight...just the way i like it.

But knowing what im like, ill probably pick up some flowers on the way home...will give her a nice little surprise.

A more than normal amount of abuse judging by the messages I've been getting.

We're both skint at the moment, so instead of wasting money we can't really afford, I got her a couple of IOU tokens for stuff like a candlit dinner, relaxing massage etc. as a promise for the future for when we actually have some spare cash! Tacky I know, but it's the thought that counts and all that. Or not. Not good enough apparently.

I might get her something on the way home. Like a one way train ticket to her mum's! :mad:
 
My wife just called me.

She said, "Three of the girls in the office have just received some flowers for Valentines Day, they are absolutely gorgeous."

I said, "That's probably why they've received flowers then."

I got Conan the Barbarian and Legend of the Gaurdians, marshmallows so he could make me a hot chocolate and a card. I got him....nothing! Told him not to bother with Valentines this year and he didn't listen. Felt pretty bad this morning so took him out for lunch :)
 
Me and my girlfriend think the commercial side of valentines day is really gay (she's Swedish and that's a common philosophy there!).

BUT, we still like to be really cute and romantic together so we make each other cards and go for dinner or make dinner.

Unfortunately I've been feeling really ill yesterday and today so can't do what I had planned for tonight but we are rescheduling for Friday!

Made her a card and have written a sonnet to write in it (Shakespearian style) and was going to make a 3-course meal at her flat with loads of candles followed by prosecco cocktails while I play classical guitar for her then watch Romeo + Juliet then ... sexy time!

You don't need to buy a watch or a 6 foot tall pink bear to show you love!
 
I got her some little heart cskes, some roses and a card. Yesterday though I spelt out "I love you" with potato alphabets when i cooked dinner for her ready for when she got back, I knew she liked it when I was tagged in a new photo on fb lol. I hate VDay.

She got me a rack of ribs yesterday for dinner today and said "You didnt want anything, like for every other gifting day.. i was gunna buy you some pc speakers as you always moan about yours but I know if i buy anything for you then youll moan you coulda got it cheaper or something better for the same price(i blame ocuk for my attitude on this hah).. So I thought id make you dinner and I first thought steak... But thats next month.. So I got you ribs"
