Dear Esther... Stunning!

I was really looking forward to grabbing this today, but my Broadband is buggered at the moment [thanks BT], and am unable to get more than 89kbs

Hope those that get it enjoy it... post some nice screenies please.

Was intruiged enough to take a punt at 7 quid.

Looks great and even if it is just 'exploring and listening to a story' - that sounds good to me.

Just finished. Beutiful 'experience' I must say. Although, to say this was supposed to be more of an interactive story, the story lacked a little.

Certainly different lets say that for a start, really enjoying this so far, not really had the time this evening to sit down and properly go through as i'm on duty, keep getting called out, but managed a good half hour, very relaxing and strange experience so far, love the music very fitting for the setting and the atmosphere it creates is brilliant.

Utterly beautiful to look at but bugger me if i know what the story is all about. Think of it as a great tech demo of how far you can push the Source Engine. The caves were the best bit for me

nothing just explore

exploring would be streaching it a little, it's a very tightly well defined path that you travel. just press W all the time.

I love a good story so I just purchased it. You can pay more than double that on a DVD so if it only last a couple of hours it'll have been worth it if the story is great.

the path isn't that tightly defined and basically you're moving around an island as a story is told to you. if you're buying thinking it's ANYTHING more than that and then moaning when it isn't, well more fool you.

it's a beautifully constructed "game". just really powerful.

Mildy intriguing and very beautiful artistically, rather a lot of walking around with no real direction tho. So far I'd rate it as a curiosity at best.

Just downloading now, seems like an interesting idea and will make a change from the norm at least. Myst, Barrow Hill, The Lost Crown all spring to mind when reading the description of Dear Esther, all games that I enjoyed.
