yeh its the typical nvidia/hewlett packard failure of the gpu, there was a page somewhere about this on hp's website saying pretty much, if your not in america, you are screwed.
not the best design imo, and not the best way of doing business from hp, there is a way to get it fixed, but it involves getting the gfx part of the board (re-balled) its pretty much the same fault as the original xbox 360's where the gpu/cpu overheats and comes off the mainboard slightly over time.
