Passat CC

Are we talking about the same seats?

THe ones I liked were kind of ribbed accross the way, and looked like the ones in the Passat Sport...

Obviously everyone is different, but these seats REALLY worked for me.

As did the suspension on sport.... perfect for motorway munching.

Same seats. Too short, not enough lumber support.

I think it actually has full time 4wd.

It's haldex 4wd, the same as the golf and other 4wd passats. The CC 3.6 GT is mechanically identical to the passat R36.

You could also get a 3.2 with 4wd which uses the same powerplant as the golf R32.

The mk6 passat is based on the golf platform so transverse powertrain unlike the mk5 which had an inline engined audi a4/a6 platform

Yes, WHO ARE YOU?

you've probably seen the 'repmobile look at my mpgz' types.
Unfortunately, if you head over to autotrader and start playing with the options you'll see an almost sickening pattern.

Nationally, VW Passat CC
Engine Size: 3-3.9 (2) <-- 2 cars!

Engine Size: 2-2.5 (342) <-- Oh that's a lot better... but wait:
Fuel Type: Petrol (4) <-- 4...

It's a real shame, with the usual VW depreciation on things that aren't Golfs (I'm thinking Bora) these could've been a sweet deal, but with the rarity, I'd expect them to keep their price a bit better. Although in saying that, the 2008 3.6 is £14k with fairly high spec...

Agreed, passengered in a mates, seats are awful once you get past their good looks.

They do look stunning and short distances are not a problem, long hauls are a different beast though, I find myself stopping at services just to get out and stretch my legs.

Yep those ones, again they look lovely and it is horse for courses :)

Exactly, always the base of my back starts to ache badly, I tried adjusting the lumbar support but it didn't make much difference to be honest.

I find the exact same thing on long trips in my B6 Passat SEL. Not sure if they are the same kind of seats (mine are only half leather/half alcantara) but no matter how I adjust the seat I always get this. Having said that....they are a lot comfier than my old Astra lol

isnt it only 4wd when the fronts start to slip, i think i read on the haldex site that the fronts have to spin 1/2 turn before up to 30% the torque will get sent to the rears. There is a haldex controller that can distribute this torque from the get go though..
