Alternatives to BP/EK?

Literally the only thing putting me off ordering my components is fittings. I want black compressions (preferably matte).

Don't get me wrong I like the look of BP but I refuse to pay almost £150 in fittings. The problem I have with the EK ones is the big logo on it which completely spoils the look.

There are some black sparkle ones on MM atm which I was quite interested but they don't look very black at all. They basically just look like nickel.

Anyway, I remember seeing some feser ones but they've dissapeared now and I'm not sure what they were like reliability wise? Imputs? Surely there must be some other compressions that I'm missing out there other than BP/EK ones?

you could go for these, although they are black sparkle but very good pricing :)

there's also alphacool, enzotech (which look awesome imo) and koolance there may be more, but that's just a quick search in a watercooling shop that I know of :)

I checked around the shopers that I buy from and couldn't see any alphacool or enzotechs. I'll have a google.

The problem witht he black sparkle is they don't look very black. They're esentially a dulled silver, otherwise I'd have gone for the ones of Rj.

Alphacool do a deep black compression, Primochill also do black but i can't find a pic of thoes without a competitor's logo plastered all over it but ther look pretty nice.

Edit: Found a couple of pics of the Primochill ones but they are not that much cheaper than Bitspower from what i have found.

I'll send you a trust message of where I found them RollerBall :)

Cheers

EDIT: The enzotech ones look immense but they're almost as expensive as BP >.<

That alphacool ojne is pretty nice. Not a fan of the other two. The middle one looks plasticy and the latter just doesn't sit with me, could see how it would look cool with some builds.

Cheers for the ideas anyway guys.

Anybody got any ideas about the alphacool ones? They look pretty decent and for less than half the price of the BP ones. I can't find much about them/builds with them?

Never used thoes ones but i have been using a few Alphacool 45 degree double and 90 degree single rotaries for a few months with no issues.

definitely avoid the primochill ones, many horror stories of those fittings just snapping while in use!!!

The alphacool ones look very nice, nice and clean. You could also wait for the swiftech fittings which are due out sometime this year, which look gorgeous tbh... No word on pricing though unfortunately...

Apparently Q1, although can't find any recent news.

To be honest. You can hardly see the logo >_>

In all the pictures I've seen I can notice it quiet easily. It's just a personal thing. I quite like the EK logo, especially on stuff like CPU blocks. I just really don't think it looks good on the compressions. I'm going to look again at some build logs with EK black fittings anyway and make a decision. I tried to find some black alphacool ones in action but couldn't find any.

Why don't you use barbs?

I've got barbs in my current build. Not only are they a PITA to get 7/16" on 1/2" barbs (I would have to do that to safely go clampless) I just feel like compressions for a change as I've never worked with them.

I just found these.

I'm not sure what they'd look like though. Kind of tempted as it's something different to go with clear tubing and red fluid. They have a very interesting method of installation too.

I switched to barbs from ek comps and I really like how clean they look, although I do know what you mean about the 7/16" tube on 1/2" barbs, I'd really like some of the monsoon comps, as they look awesome and come in different colours :) although I haven't seen them in shops yet

Have you got a before/after type shot of the comps then barbs?
