Humerous but serious thread.......

My ginger cat, Garfield, just came strolling back into the house an hour ago all covered in blood. Looks like he's been bitten on the leg again.

Last time I had to take him down the vet to get a shot and some anti-biotics which cost £35. Now looks like i'm going to have to take him down again in the morning.

Now the issue is that I know which other cat is doing this, another male ginger cat who has'nt been neutered. I've no idea where he lives but I need to do something to protect my cat.

I've thought about trying to capture this other cat and take him for a long car journey but this is bordering on illegal me thinks.

Anything I can do OCuK?

Don't have anything useful to suggest I'm afraid, but wow, he's a stunning cat.

Ok, may have a suggestion, could you make up some leaflets describing the cat that you've seen, explaining that you've seen it attack your cat on more than one occasion (even if you havent) and that you wish to make the owner aware of what their cat is getting up to in the hope that they can do something about it? Post it through some doors in your local area?

Get one of those cat collar cams and record his life, for the fun of it and to be able to proove it's this other cat that is a trouble maker?

Lovely cat btw.

Got insurance?

Remember that he probably gives as good as he gets so there's probably another distressed owner out there plotting the same as you.

Keep him in if he's getting hammered too regularly.

Awww aint he good lookin'

You could train your cat to fight, though come feed time he will forget, get a water pistol and look out for the bad cat and spray him!

This other ginger cat is the Mickey Rourke of the cat world - ugly. He just strolls around the neighbourhood thinking he owns the place and even gives you a 'don't **** with me' look when you watch him.

I'm going to have to take action somehow.

Well, if said cat does not belong to anyone, and you can provide proof that it is causing trouble (hence the cat cam idea), you should be able to report the cat no?

Even if it does belong to someone, surely they would have to take responsibility?

Would happen to a dog without question.

Thing is if your cat was scared of this other cat he would avoid it. Cats do fight, if not with this one with another cat.. Too many cats in a small area trying to divvy up territories is the issue..

Put your cat on a high protein diet, get him an intensive work out program, train him every night with small weights strapped to his paws, in 6 months let him out again.

This other ginger cat regulary comes in through our cat flap and eats whatever is going. I've got a staywell catflap but this big cat just knocks the door off it's hinges.

So my cat has been sleeping outside some nights or hiding under a chair.

So he's being terrorized literally.

Tie the other cat up and torture it, threaten to kill if he does it again.
If it was my cat, I would buy a BB gun, and shoot the other Cat until it got the picture.

When the other cat comes in, break it's eye sockets. Make it look like an accident.
