I have seen the rads on the website and the prices but can some of the experienced water cooling aficionados tell me which is the best on there..or is it a case of you get what you pay for?
Ta

What are you cooling?
What fans do you plan to use(High RPM or low)?
Internal or external RAD mount?
What case?

Can you see where I am going with this?
IT DEPENDS :)

I can.
For my new build:
CPU: i5 2500k or the IvyB equivalent.
GPU: Either 460GTX Sli or Single 560TI
Internal Mount.
Fractal Design Arc MIDI.
Fans, not sure, if i can fit 140 to the rads then 140 otherwise 120s. Will probably swap the three supplied fans with the case for whichever fans have overall performance in terms of cooling and noise.

I'm using a 120mm XSPC EX rad which is a thin rad but with better performance than most other 120mm thin rads. I'm impressed with mine and I'd recommend it to others :)

As for fans Scythe GT AP-15's on a fan controller would be a good choice :)

U do get what u pay for, the ones in the link above are good, these and these are also very nice rads, OCUK seemed to have stopped stocking them but the 120.2 XSPC RX rads are also nice and around the same price.
Also as mentioned the Scythe GT's (AP-15) are one of the best rad fans for the lower FPI thicker rads if u have a fan controller.

Of all rads, I think that the phobya g changers are the best bang for buck.

Thermochill best performance, EK, XSPC and HL close behind.

Thanks for the recommendations. Im going to be ordering my case today or tomorrow. Once its here i can then see for myself the modifications needed in order to get these rads fitted.
Can you experts clear up the following for me:
120.1 rad for 120mm fans
140.1 rad for 140mm fans
Is that right or are they interchangeable?

That is right, u can't put 140mm fans on 120.1 rads but u can use 120mm fans on 140mm rads with a shroud adapter tho.

Im so glad i asked that question, saved me some potential greif lol.
So now im looking at 1 x 140.3 & 1 x 140.2 for the time being.
Thanks.

Only prob i find with 140 rads is fan selection, if only Skythe made the GT's in 140mm flavor :P

Well apparently for my case Fractal Design make a fairly good 140mm silent series fan, so im lucky there. If it turns out to be pony then i might have to look at 120s :D

Here are some 140mm fans tested on a rad and also some 120mm fans on the same rad using a shroud adapter.
Edit: Actually thinking about it it might be possible to use the same adapter in reverse to mount 140mm fans on a 120mm rad, u would lose surface area but with the air being forced into a smaller gain more airflow at a lower RPM, never seen or heard of anyone trying this tho but it could be usefull if u had limited space in a case that has 140mm mounting options.
Edit 2 lol: Forget that the mounting on the rads would need to be spaced out more to get them to fit, only way this could be done is with a 120.1 rad or maybe could be usefull stacking a pair of 120.1 rads to make a single super thick rad.

Lol stop messing with my head.
Quite a comprehensive website though, he certainly knows what hes doing. I will wait until i have the rads mounted and then will ask here in the forums what type of rad i should be looking at.
