so anyone had the infamous clicking/ticking sound from the pump on this model ?

I see hundreds of posts and videos online about this.

Anyways so i have it and have done since i built my new system about a week ago.

If i lay the system on its side the sound goes away, so i laid it on its side for 2 days constant but as soon as i stood it up it came back.

I have the pipes from the rad at the bottom, but tried it other way also.

Anyways i decided to contact corsair about it.

They want me to RMA it, anyone had any experience of this from the UK ?

I imagine i will be without my cooler for about 3 or 4 weeks based on my return to them and then their return to me in the UK.

it seems pretty bad service to be honest, this long for a return on a device which clearly has some issues due by all the posts/RMA mentions online ?

in addition anyone know of any replacement (quieter fans) for this model that have connectors that fit into the pump header so the pump controls them.

The fans are not overly loud but i just wondered ?

cheers

open a post in the support part of the forum, they will sort an rma out for you

i actually just found that area from overclockers and filled it in as a webnote.

I didnt realise i could send it to them, i never thought about it after they told me with the case they were just a reseller so couldnt solve the issue.

Will see what happens.

Cheers

Bit naughty of them for saying that, basically if you ever have an issue within the warranty Overclockers should do all the replacing and talking with the manufacturer

well my initial issue was with the case and a part was not included so it wasnt a faulty item.

Anyways OCuk told me to contact coolermaster as they were just a reseller.

So with the H80 i didnt bother initially thinking of OCuk based on my previous response.

Anyways i have sent a webnote to them to see if i can return the item for replacement and see what happens.

perhaps it is different with faulty items as oppose to items missing.

Cheers

Anything you buy in the UK has a minimum of 12 months warranty, and that includes things missing, its the retailers responsibility to sort any issues out no matter what they say! :)

I had this issue and for some reason when I changed my psu to a "be quiet 730w" the noise went away completely. So for some apparent reason my 650w psu was causing the H80 to make the noise.
