*****Official Star Wars: The Old Republic Thread*****

I didn't play past my 1st months sub. Played about 14-15days on and off and got to level 28 Sith Jugg. Didn't get on with the game or enjoy it that much.

I'm fniding the Ilum PVP a pita for doing the daily/weekly quests. It seems that people love to bottleneck the other side in their base which just results in each side taking pot shots at one another every so often.

It doesn't benefit either side in aquiring armaments from kills it just seems so counter productive. Same goes for people going after kills in warzones instead of the objectives.

Havent logged in for like 2 weeks now, its a shame as I absolutely what they did with the story, and I'm an absolute Star Wars nutjob - but it just feels that now I've hit 50 there isnt really anything to keep me playing.

Sadface.

Same here. Really enjoyed getting to 50 and it went down hill quick after that. MMO's these days are too quick and easy and get boring fast as a result.

*insert Fred Flinstone Yabba Dabba DOOOH!*

YES! Finally getting my laptop back tomorrow after being away for a month of repairs. Seriously cant wait to get my teeth back into TOR on Frostclaw with the TDR crew. With any luck I havnt been kicked :D.

See ya soon guy's.

Naarox.

Scrap that :(:(:(

Got my laptop back yesterday and it was awesome to jump back in the game with you guy's. However I come to turn on the laptop tonight and while it turns on (kinda) the screen dosnt power up and the laptops completly unreponsive so looks like itll have to go back for another month of repairs.

Whats so infuriating is the fact that I spent £1000 on what I thought would be a decent gaming laptop yet less than 5 months sinse i received it I had to send it away for repair. Now im going to have to do it again meaing that by the time this repair gets back my laptop would have been away for 2 months of the 7 months i have owned it *rage*.

Wonder what my chances are of demanding a refund/replacement. Moral of the story: shoulda chose samsung.

Anyway ill probably see you guys in another months time...maybe! :(

Where did you get your laptop? You need to tell them that the laptop is not of satisfactory quality. Talk to the retailer, they should help through the Sale of Goods Act. It is "reasonable" to expect a brand new laptop to last longer than this. They are well within their right, and probably will ask for an engineer’s report to prove that it has a fault and hasn’t been misused etc.

Don't you have better things in your life than to continue bleating on about a game you don't like? Adds very little to the discussion.

lol I would guess not he is like a stuck parrot!

Good run last night did EV HM on my dps trooper (not very well geared) and we got last boss down first try!(of the night) .. boring video to follow :) ..and bloody Dist got my chest piece :(

Overclockers, tried them first and they just said ive got to go through MSI unfortunately. So off I went and contacted MSI who arranged my repair. The thing that makes me rage is the fact that the laptops been extremely well treated and for it to break just after getting it back from repair is rather annoying. Not only that i lost out on the majority of my free month of TOR.

Anyway tried to get back in touch with MSI today and after half an hour on hold I had to go to work so im no further foward .

Back to using my phone/netbook for browsing needs i guess! (netbooks terrible, cant even play youtube videos without the video driver crashing)

Ps thanks Stu, looking foward to actually being able to play the game to its fullest. shame like as i just earnt myself 34,000 credits on the night the laptop worked giving me over 60,000. so just had to get enough xp to go from lvl 24 to 25 and get my speeder. looks like its going to have to wait another month.

No, you don't if it's less than 6 months old.

"If you bought the item within the last six months, it’s the trader’s responsibility to prove the item wasn’t faulty when you bought it."

Try them again, OCUK support are generally top notch. A post in the CS section of the forum might help.

After 6 months the burden of proof changes from the retailer to the consumer.

Interesting ill give it a shot. cheers Jacob.

EDIT: gave it another shot, and just reraised the post I originally posted in CS on january 8th asking what i could do. This time Ive just asked what my options are and said that surely as i raised the issue on the 8th of january with them (which was under 6th months since I had bought it) was it not there responsibility to sort it out. Lets see if I get anywhere *fingers crossed*.

Just finished my Sith Inquisitor's main story at level 49, cancelled sub :p.

Was fun as a single player RPG for the story, but in pretty much every other aspect I prefer WoW (which I no longer play, and I doubt I'll ever resub to that either).
