Exactly.

Blame is a stupid human made up concept with no real value or use.

That's not saying that determining the cause of something isn't important, it's incredibly important - far more-so than blame.

Think of it like this,

If in theory beating a 10 year old child turns them into a serial killer as an adult - does it make any logical sense to blame the child for the murders it does?.

I'm not saying they should be "let off" they should be incarcerated for the safety of the rest of the population - but really?, does the concept of blame make much sense?.

Blame is just a shorthand for a society or people who lack the will or inclination to determine the cause of negative behaviour & address it at source.
