Alan Wake now appears to be heading to Steam!!

Great game indeed, but there's defiantly an issue with keyboard controls when moving forward.

If I use a wired 360 control its fine, but with keyboard character walks off to the left a tad. Switching between the two control methods whilst playing really shows it up, surprised Remedy missed it as not exactly subtle…

And yes I own the Steam version before anyone starts with usual "must be pirated" comments. :p
 
I was planning on holding out for the boxed version but I started to crack and thought about getting it on GMG, but it's vanished. It looks like they have run out of keys, which is good...just not for me.
 
Max everything from the 1st DLC Episode The Writer. Alan Wake is a game which looks better in motion screenshots cannot capture the stunning lighting effects on shadows/atmosphere etc etc. Definately one of the best looking DX9 games ever made even if it does have several low res textures (the game has 6991 textures according to Remedy) & low compression bink cutscenes (4.3GB worth). It would have taken them another 6 months to redo all for PC so I can live with the ones they did have time to redo on PC with more detail :D

I noticed that too, it looks weird how he always goes a bit to the left. Will try with a 360 controller this weekend.
 
In fairness, if people want to post full-res screenshots, there is a thread for that already. I can understand why the mods would want to limit the size of screenshots in all the other threads.

I know it's not what they have done, I was suggesting that they could and that it wasn't very difficult...I'm not sure what is going on here!
 
I didnt think it mattered in a game specific thread. If it was a general thread I would have pasted the resized links. Jesus some guy was posting new threads with just youtube videos of BF3, they should have been in the youtube thread. Rules only apply sometimes :)
 
Bought this on Steam last night. Can't wait. I was going to get it for the Xbox until mine broke. Hopefully I can get it downloaded in a reasonable amount of time this evening.

I was lucky I only have a 3mb connection and I was beating most people to it last night :) My trusty friend with his nasa connection copied his steam files, whacked them on my PC and Steam verified them and I was away :D

I think The darkness 2 is better then this.
It's hard to compare though because they are completely different.

SLI works now too, there is a way of enabling it here:
