I got my new 6950 today and installed it and everything but when I went onto CCC and looked at the graphics overdrive. It allowed me to improve it a bit I will show below.

GPU clock settings 800 - 840

Memory Clock Settings 1250 - 1325

power control I could either make this -20% or 20% (not sure what this does though)

Now when I put the first two up to max and played bf3 I for about a 20 fps improvement with no increase to temperature. Now just wondering if anyone else has done this and if it's ok, should I put them too max?

I dunno why but i'm just a little hesitant to do it. seeing as I just got this one as and upgrade LOL.

Anyway

Thanks ^^^

Dont over clock via the CCC Connor, as for the power control, set it to 20% this will help voltages

Do most of the clocking via Afterburner tbh, you should be able to get at least 900 core and 1300 memory if memory serves :)

As above , clock with Afterburner, i have a HIS 6950 clocked to 950 core & 1420 memory 1.174 volts no noticeable rise in temps ( this card does have a fantastic cooler) been running stable since november.

The CCC has nothing to do with your CPU.

It does if you've got an AMD cpu :p
