Bit expensive. I suppose you are paying for the additional wiring, molexes and modular nature of the pieces.

The 5050 SMD carry 3 individual LEDs per package and are going to be a lot brighter than normal SMD or through hole LEDs. These 5050 SMD are the type they use in the LED domestic lighting you can buy.

TriBright uses independent ICs to power each LED bulb for maximum brightness.

I don't know who wrote that but there's no ICs or bulbs on these strips. I'm guessing it's just marketing spiel by Bitfenix.

Anyway, there's a video review on youtube by that OC3D guy and somehow he manages to go on for over 30 minutes about them but I suppose he did look at all colours.

They are seriously bright though. Thinking about replacing my 1206 SMD strips with these bad boys (or DIY alternative).

Depends what you want to do. RGB will allow almost infinite adjustment of colour, given the right (not the one they come with) PWM control unit, and these Bitfenix will be extra bright. The strips themselves are pretty universal with similar interconnects.

If it weren't for the high price I'd be tempts by some of those orange.

Oh and by the way my RGB strip set to Orange is gloriously bright so I can't imagine how bright these are in real life.

They are great for inside your PC.

These are great for outside of your PC though as you can power them via USB.
