any other ones worth looking at or should i go for the cheaper Gelid Tranquillo
don't wanna spend more than £40

any suggestions welcome

cheers

How about a gelid tranquillo and another case fan?
Recently just got a tranquillo coming from a freezer pro7 and saw much lower temps from the tranquillo.
Then i added another case fan and that helps keep things a little cooler whilst not needing the fans to spin so much!
Just a idea anyway!

I got 8 case fans already mate :D but im sure i could fit a couple of 80mm in somewhere just need to get my modding head on :p but aye that Tranquillio is popular choice

8! Thats nearly enough to power a small hovercraft! :p
Well i have pretty much a identicle setup to you.
My overclock is on 1.25v
Prime stays under 63c
Playing bf3 stays under 55c
(temps are slightly better since my thread as have added 2 more case fans)
Hope that gives you a idea of what it can do and i only have 4 case fans!

Just managed to get the push pin back in place till i get a new cooler sorted idle temps are bugging me 30c- 32c (room temp 22c) using HW monitor on stock setting seems high and the asus Ai suite software tell me somthing a lot lower 23c-25c dont know what to believe
