The FA CUP Fifth Round - 18/19 February *** Spoilers ***

Get rid of 60% of the 1st team and replace them with solid experienced players who care about winning and have the drive for it would be a start.

Or continue to extend contracts to players like Djorou...

what money we got to replace 6 players? we need 100m mimimum to buy 6 quality players. not gunna happen.

SICK AND TIRED OF WENGER

Another trophy-less season, time to get the cheque book out

There is no cheque book. Kronke doesn't spend, all the Nasri/Fabregas money seemingly disappeared into the club somewhere. The RVP money will as well. We won't be able to sell our crap players because nobody wants them (see: Denilson). There is no way back, unless you let Usamov get into the club and spend silly money (which he wanted to do but was rebuffed). The Emirates is a big stadium, but Arsenal aren't going to be a big club again for the foreseeable future.

What would you like done?

There's pages and pages of valid suggestions in the Wenger out thread but basically:
  • New transfer/contract policy
  • Get rid of the dead wood and sicknotes (Diaby, Rosicky, Squillaci, Djourou, Gibbs, Walcott etc)
  • New/better defensive coaching
  • New formation as clearly 1 striker up front doesn't work for us
  • Experience AND quality, signing an experienced player like Squillaci defeats the point as he's rubbish. You need both.
There's plenty, the policy on signing or giving contract extensions to players aged 30 and over is just backwards. The absolute refusal to spend money on players that we sorely need is also infuriating, even more so when key figures at the club already came out in the summer and said that the money from the Fabregas, Clichy and Nasri sales would be made available to strengthen the squad. Instead half of that money gets jizzed away on rewarding trash like Djourou with contract extensions.
