Does anyone know why this is? All I can think of is something to do with my Boot Order? BUt I really dont know, anyhow here is a Screenshot of my boot order as seen in the BIOS

Edit: Forgot to include information of the error, basically it is just stuck on B4 or a B2 when I try and load the BIOS If I have My USB Pen Drive or External Harddrive Plugged in

Take THem out > Shut down > start up

And I can access the BIOS fine. (not 100% sure where this should be posted, apologies)

Are those pictures at the bottom, the boot order? If it goes from left to right, then it looks like its looking for a USB HDD first. Can you get a screenshot of the boot order with names instead of pictures?

There is your problem right there, change 1st boot and 2nd boot around; its trying to boot from whatever is put in to USB first :)

On the Boot screen in Bios, click on the option at the bottom 'Hard Disk Drive BBS Properties' and see what is in the list with the USB's plugged in.

How do you mean with the usbs plugged in? I cannot get to the list if I have the USBs plugged in cos I cant get to the BIOS. Or do you mean load up the BIOS then plug them in?

Anyway all it says with just my keyboard and mouse plugged in is 1st boot > my hd and if I click that, just my HD (ST3100etcetc) and disable

i have the same problem with my msi board (the only fault i have found so far)

and the way i get it to boot to usb key is to:

1) load bios with no usb in
2) go to exit
3) insert usb
3) select "discard and exit"
4) it will boot straight to the usb key

and you wont have the frozen bios issue

so far the bios freezes if i have a usb-SD card adapter or my old printer

im thinking of updating the bios as mine is quite an old one :)

Yea, go in to BIOS and plug in the USB and check the HDD boot order. If it doesnt work, then just look for BIOS updates, failing that.. Dont leave them in while booting :D

Thanks for the help

Plugging them all in doesnt really change anything tbh (no new options come up), I dont really know how I would update the BIOS with no floppy drive and no USB devices in BIOS (As I have heard MSI Live update can cause problems)
